Trilingual triplets have only been issued by South West Africa. In 1968, three cent and fifteen cent stamps honouring President Swart were printed alternately in English, Afrikaans and German (the language of the early settlers). In 1978, a set of six stamps publicising universal suffrage was over-printed in the three languages in se-tenant strips of three.
