The longest definitive series issued was produced by Venezuela between 1951 and 1954 and consisted of sets of sixteen (seven ordinary and nine airmail) featuring the arms of each of the twenty-three states, with appropriate pictorial vignettes - a total of 368 postage stamps. Additionally, Venezuela issued a series depicting Caracas General Post Office, comprising eleven ordinary and fourteen airmail stamps in 1953, re-issued the following year with an amended inscription.
