Stamps of Kionga PDF Print E-mail
During World War I, Portugese troops occupied a strip of German East Africa along the River Tuvuma, known as Kionga. Stamps of Lourenco Marques were overprinted for use in this territory and surcharged in centavos. The stamps were in use for a short time in 1916 but subsequently the stamps of Mozambique were adopted.
