The sixth series of railway stamps issued by Western Australia in 1976 were arranged in sheets of 200 divided into two panes of ten by ten each. Station names appeared in black except for Perth which was printed in orange on the First and early Second issue stamps. In late 1977, 'Perth' was dropped, and 'City' appeared in black on subsequent second issue stamps. For the third issue, stamps used at the eight metropolitan Perth stations were printed 'Metro' in orange; however, 'Metro' has also been noted printed in balck.
