Postal Tax Stamps - Romania |

In 1931, Romania introduced postal tax stamps whose use was compulsory at certain times to raise funds for the government aviation fund. These stamps were inscribed either 'Timbrul aviatiei' or 'Fondul aviatiei' (aviation stamp or fund). After 1937, these stamps were not used in conjunction with postal matter but were applied as an additional levy to taxable goods.
