Philately has featured quite prominently in motion pictures. The first photoplay dealing with the postal services was aptly called 'The Mailman' and was released by the Film Booking Office, New York on December 14, 1923. Rare stamps were central to the plot of 'Barbados Lady' starring Tom Conway and 'Charade' starring Cary Grant.
