Maldive Islands Stamps of 1971 |

The problems and attitudes of the Third World are faithfully mirrored in the 1971 stamps of the Maldive Islands. The 10 and 25l stamps were issued to mark Racial Equality Year. Shamir's stylized flower and globe motif in bold pastel colours was used for both stamps. Shamir has been responsible for virtually every design used by the Maldives since independence.
