Forced Post Office Closures PDF Print E-mail
Every post office was forced to close down in the Indian principality of Bundi except the head office, in 1899 when famine swept the country and the economy virtually collapsed. The reconstruction of the postal services was not completed till 1914 when the offices were re-opened.
